Three men are elected to this position and provided the opportunity to strategically plan for and oversee the areas assigned to Board of Elders at Trinity. This board empowers others to carry on the spiritual life, fellowship and member participation in programs. The Administrative Pastor serves as the advisor.
The Spiritual Advisor to the Board of Elders is the Administrative Pastor. His role is to counsel and educate the board members regarding spiritual life, fellowship and member participation in ministry.
The Connector encourages and invites Trinity members and prospective members to join the league or to become substitute bowlers. The Connector also reaches out to area WELS congregations to encourage those members to participate in the Trinity Bowling League.
The Bowling Ministry League Bowler participates in the Trinity Bowling League as a regular or substitute bowler. The League Bowler also encourages and invites other WELS members and prospective members to join the league or to become substitute bowlers.
Two Fellowship Meal Planning Team Co-Coordinators work together to schedule ministry-sponsored fellowship meals and assists those ministries in planning and producing the meals. Co-Coordinators may share or alternate duties during the fellowship meal seasons.
The Funeral Luncheon Coordinator works with the pastors and families to determine needs and desires for the funeral luncheon. The Coordinator makes the arrangements for food, servers, and set up and take down.
The Funeral Luncheon Set Up and Take Down team (two or three people per funeral) sets up tables and chairs for guests as well as serving tables. After the event, the team takes down the tables and chairs and vacuums the hall.
The Lost Sheep Ministry Contactor reaches out in love in an effort to communicate with those individuals who have been absent from worship for a period in excess of three months to invite them back to worship and/or to ascertain the following:
Why has the member been absent from worship?
Does Trinity meet their worship needs? If not, why not?
What improvements can Trinity make that would prevent the loss of members from worship?
Are there significant problems that need to be addressed? If so, how can Trinity help?
The Military and College Students Chairperson orchestrates the projects of the MACS team. The Chairperson finds and researches various ways to keep in touch and help support the military members and college students of the congregation.
The Military and College Students Secretary assists the MACS Chairperson and MACS Team Members in the various tasks of the team. The Secretary maintains MACS status and address information and works with the church secretary to get various MACS team-related communications out to the congregation.
The PMM Discovery Class Caller serves as part of the Invitation Team, assisting the PMM Coordinator and Discovery Class Coordinator in making contact phone calls to members of Trinity who are being personally invited to the S.H.A.P.E.D. class.
The PMM Discovery Class Head Caterer organizes the menu, and purchases and prepares food for Discovery Classes. The Head Caterer delivers food and when appropriate, sets it up and keeps it replenished. If necessary, the Head Caterer stays to clean up with the Assistant Caterer.
The PMM Discovery Guide assists members with their discovery process through means of a personal interview (guided discovery session). The guide will help the member understand his/her SHAPED profile and help the member find a good ministry fit.
The Leadership Class Facilitator is responsible for preparing and leading a quarterly leadership class, including a brief devotion on leadership as well as material on general leadership skills and principles.
The Recognition and Reflection Implementation Team serves by making the congregation aware of members’ service and thanking and supporting them. The team helps develop appreciation strategies for individual ministries and congregation celebrations. The team creates and oversees the exit interview process so that those leaving ministries can reflect on their spiritual growth and future service opportunities
The Prayer Ministry Connector is someone who is dedicated to praying on all occasions and feels compassion for all of God's children. The Connector is part of the Prayer Ministry leadership team, along with the Coordinator and the Recorder. The Connector represents the Prayer Ministry in connecting to people who show compassion, sincerity, and strong faith in God.
The Prayer Ministry Prayer Warrior is someone who believes in the power of prayer. The Prayer Warrior trusts God to answer according to His will and understands that there is strength in praying in a group. He or she knows that it is a privilege to be able to talk to God on behalf of others, and is thankful for this.
The Prayer Ministry Recorder gathers prayer requests, maintains the prayer list, and sends emails to Prayer Ministry members (Warriors). The Recorder is part of the Prayer Ministry leadership team, along with the Coordinator and Connector.
We quilt for people who bring us completed quilt tops. We do this for a certain fee. The money we earn is donated to the following organizations: WELS schools for tuition assistance, Lutherans for Life to share utility bill expenses at the Trinity House, Trinity’s wish list and the Crete Pantry.
The Senior Ministry Host and Hostess remind seniors of and welcome seniors to monthly meetings, outside events, and service events. They coordinate set-up, take-down, and clean-up at all events. They handle all money for Senior Ministry.
The St. James Manor Nursing Home Worship Ministry Coordinator provides direction for the Assistants and is the communication link among the Nursing Home Worship Ministry Leader, the Assistants, and St. James Manor personnel regarding any special situations.
The Trinity Dart Club Dartball Player participates as a member of one of Trinity's Dartball teams. The Dartball Player also encourages and invites other members and prospective members to join one of the Trinity dartball teams.
The Trinity Dart Club President presides over the Trinity Dart Club meetings and is the club's liaison to the Board of Elders. The President is an elected member of the Trinity Dart Club leadership team along with the Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
The Trinity Dart Club Secretary is an elected member of the Trinity Dart Club leadership team along with the President, Vice President and Treasurer. The Secretary records all meeting minutes and maintains the Trinity Dart Club membership roster.
The Trinity Dart Club Team Captain is the main point of contact for a Trinity Dart Club team scheduled to participate in the First Lutheran Dart League. The Captain directs the activities, reports, and finances of the team. The Team Captain and Team Director are the main points of contact for the First Lutheran Dart League.
The Trinity Dart Club Team Director, appointed by the team captain, is the Trinity Dart Club team's voting member in the First Lutheran Dart League. The Team Director and Team Captain are the main points of contact for the First Lutheran Dart League.
The Trinity Dart Club Treasurer is an elected member of the Trinity Dart Club leadership team along with the President, Vice President and Secretary. The Treasurer maintains the financial records of the Trinity Dart Club.
The Trinity Dart Club Vice President is an elected member of the Trinity Dart Club leadership team along with the President, Treasurer and Secretary. The Vice President serves as a Connector and is the Trinity Dart Club liaison to the Personal Member Ministry. In the absence of the President, the Vice President serves as the acting President and presides over the team and assumes all the President's responsibilities.
Trinity's Lay Minister serves the homebound members of Trinity with the gospel in God's Word and Sacrament of Holy Communion. Homebound is defined as communicant members who are unable to attend worship services for an extended period of time due to physical and/or emotional infirmities.
