New Year Letter from Pastors
Dear members of Trinity,
As we begin this new year it’s good to remember Paul’s words in Philippians 1:3-6:
“I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
We don’t live our lives for ourselves but rather Christ’s love compels us to serve God and one another. No one person does all the ministry, but rather it’s a “partnership in the gospel” as Paul says, that we all get the opportunity to work together to carry out God’s ministry. Much like how Paul was excited and thankful for the Philippians who worked along with him, we too are thankful for all of you and our partnership in the gospel.
As we head into this new year, it will also mean looking in a new direction for Trinity which will include new and different opportunities to partner together to make disciples in God’s kingdom. Some things may look different, but in the end our mission, God’s mission for us, is still the same: to welcome home the lost and loved with Jesus. Look for more information and specific opportunities to be involved and partner with us in this gospel work as the year goes on.
Of all the ways God could get his work done in a new year, he gives the opportunity to us – imperfect people who don’t always and won’t always get it right. What a humbling privilege it is to be able to carry out his work for another year. It’s all by grace. And that’s exactly the message we get to live out and share as we go into 2025. Blessings on this new year and our continued partnership!
In Christ,
